Stefania Rubrichi

Stefania Rubrichi is a research scientist at Orange’s SENSE (Sociology and Economics of Networks and Services) laboratory. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pavia, with a focus on medical decision support systems, based on the integration of artificial intelligence methodologies and decision theory. She earned her Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics at University of Pavia with a thesis on the automatic extraction of information from natural language medical text. In 2015, she also completed a M.Sc. in Mathematics for Data Science and Big Data at Ecole Polytechnique Paris, with an internship at Orange Labs on the use of mobile phone data for modeling epidemics’ spread.

Centres d'intérêt

Her research interests range across the data science domain, at the intersection of social, information and computer science fields. Currently, she works in the area of mobile-phone metadata analysis to uncover insights regarding human behavior, to ultimately address most challenging global problems, in support of development goals.
